Brand Identity

The Colors of Jacksonville College

Our colors carry our heritage. Purple and gold represent over a century of Christian education, Jaguar pride, and the community that calls Jacksonville College home. The official JC default colors below intentionally align with the widely recognized LSU print values for simpler vendor matching, while remaining Jacksonville College colors in name, usage, and brand application.

Color Usage Guidelines

  • Click any hex value to copy it to your clipboard.
  • --jc-purple and --jc-yellow are the default Jacksonville College colors for print, vendor matching, and primary digital brand work.
  • --jc-classic-purple and --jc-classic-yellow are supporting brand colors and should remain available in the palette.
  • Purple is our primary; gold is an accent. Never use gold as a dominant surface color.
  • Gold text belongs only on purple backgrounds — never gold on white, light purple, or gold itself.
  • Maintain WCAG 2.1 AA contrast: 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text.
  • All web work should use the CSS custom properties (e.g. var(--jc-purple)) instead of hard-coded hex values.
  • For print: use the provided Pantone and CMYK values. For digital: use HEX or RGB.
