Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry

Students can now enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry program at JC. This new degree equips future pastors, missionaries, and other Christian leaders with a biblical foundation for integrating faith and knowledge while preparing them for vocational, co-vocational or volunteer ministry positions.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Students can now apply for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program at JC. This program will prepare students to lead with a Jesus-centered community, equipping them for integrated lives of learning, work, and service. By blending foundational business expertise in finance, marketing, and strategic planning with a commitment to Christ-like character, the program will empower ethical and innovative leaders to solve real-world organizational challenges.

BACHELOR DEGREE PLANS

Bachelors of Science Degree - CIP 38.0203 Christian Ministry

Purpose and Objectives: The Christian Ministry major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for ministry in a variety of contexts.

By the completion of this degree, graduates will:

  1. Possess foundational skills for ministry as either pastors, teachers, missionaries, or in other positions of Christian leadership.
  2. Be equipped to minister effectively in vocational ministry, marketplace ministry, or volunteer ministry roles.
  3. Develop skills necessary to understand and communicate God’s Word.
  4. Have a biblical foundation for integrating faith and knowledge in the pursuit of truth.

            Purpose and Objectives: The Bachelor of Business Administration prepares students to become ethical, analytical, and innovative leaders capable of contributing to a dynamic global economy. The program equips graduates with foundational business knowledge, practical decision‑making skills, and the ability to apply theory to real‑world organizational challenges. Students develop competencies in management, finance, marketing, operations, and strategic planning while cultivating communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities essential for professional success.

                    Is there financial aid for this program?

                    Yes. All students need to complete the FAFSA to determine level of federal aid awarded. Additionally, we have a limited amount of institutional funds and discounts available for aid. More information can be found on our Financial Aid page.

                    Is this program available online?

                    Many of the courses for these programs are offered online. In many instances, it is possible to complete the entire degree online. An advisor will be able to answer specific questions on course availability depending on which degree pathway you choose.

                    What is JC Works?

                    JC Works is the student work program at Jacksonville College. This allows an opportunity to make a Christian education affordable and accessible to all, while preparing students for lives of learning, work, and service. A focus of the program is practical preparation in work-study positions both on and off campus.

                    What degree programs are offered?

                    At this time JC is accepting applicants into a Bachelor of Science degree program in Christiam Ministry or Business Administration.

                    Can I live on campus?

                    Campus housing is available for students under 25. More information about housing can be found on our Residential Services page.

                    What if I have already completed an associate degree?

                    You can still be a part of the program! Your associate level coursework will be reviewed and incorporated in the bachelor level degree plan as applicable.
