Jacksonville College Celebrates 2025 Graduates

Jacksonville College was proud to honor the 2025 graduating class during their commencement ceremony held at Central Baptist Church on May 10, 2025. The 2025 graduating class includes 29 students, 20 graduates and 9 participants. The non-graduating participants are within nine hours of completion of their degrees. Of those recognized, 23 of the students are from Texas, one is from Colorado, one is from Oklahoma, and four are international students.

Honors earned by graduates include Cum Laude (with honor), Magna Cum Laude (with high honor), and Summa Cum Laude (with highest honor). To graduate Cum Laude, the student must earn a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4000 or more with no grade lower than a “C” included in the average. To graduate Magna Cum Laude, the student must complete at least fifteen semester residence hours at Jacksonville College and earn a cumulative grade-point average of 3.8000 or more with no grade lower than a “C” included in the average. To graduate Summa Cum Laude, the student must complete at least fifteen semester residence hours at Jacksonville College and earn a cumulative grade-point average of
4.0000. Also denoted are those who are members of Phi Theta Kappa (an academic honor society for two-year colleges), members of Walter Prescott Webb Historical Society, online graduates (completed their degree fully online), and dual credit students (those who earned a college degree while still a high school student).
