Jacksonville College offers Associate Degrees in either Science or Arts. Within these degrees, there are a variety of concentrations, or pathways, that prepare students to lead meaningful lives that transform the world. Explore our degree pathways below.

Associate Degree Pathways

Biblical Studies

Earn your associate degree and pursue a career in pastoral ministry, theology, counseling, worship ministry, and more.

Our biblical studies concentration will give you the foundation needed to pursue a degree in religion, theology, pastoral ministry, and other related fields.

Business

Earning an associate degree with a concentration in business can prepare you for a wide range of careers from accounting to marketing to business management and much more.

Our business concentration will prepare you to pursue a degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, marketing, and other related fields.

BSN Prerequisites

Earn your Associate of Science while taking the required prerequisites you need to prepare for a Bachelor Of Science in Nursing degree.

We will provide the teaching and training you need to help you pursue meaningful work in nursing and healthcare.

Education

Earning your associate degree with a pathway in education, we strive to raise up the very best teachers who will transform the schools where they serve.

An education concentration will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education and other related fields.

Kinesiology

Earning an Associate of Science with a concentration in kinesiology will equip you with a solid foundation to start your career or pursue further schooling.

Many individuals with a kinesiology degree become personal trainers, coaches, teachers, and pursue other related careers.

Psychology

Earning an associate degree while learning to obtain a broad understanding of the human mind and behaviors will benefit you in nearly any career.

Our concentration in psychology will equip you to pursue a career in forensics, healthcare, sports psychology, and much more.

Wellness

An associate’s degree with a concentration in health and wellness will prepare you for a wide range of healthcare related fields. You can pursue further education with a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or get a leg up in your current career field.

General- STEM

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  If you don’t have a clear vision for what major to pursue or what career path to take, a general studies concentration can be highly beneficial. Not only does a general studies pathway help you get your prerequisites out of the way, it also allows you to explore a variety of topics and find a path that interests you.

General- non STEM

We offer a general studies pathway that does not focus on STEM. Determining which concentration is right for you will largely depend on your interests and career goals. You’re welcome to speak with one of our career advisors to help determine the right pathway for you.

Bachelors of Science Degree - CIP 38.0203 Christian Ministry

Purpose and Objectives: The Christian Ministry major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for ministry in a variety of contexts.

By the completion of this degree, graduates will:

  1. Possess foundational skills for ministry as either pastors, teachers, missionaries, or in other positions of Christian leadership.
  2. Be equipped to minister effectively in vocational ministry, marketplace ministry, or volunteer ministry roles.
  3. Develop skills necessary to understand and communicate God’s Word.
  4. Have a biblical foundation for integrating faith and knowledge in the pursuit of truth.
